We are so proud of Zani and the Waterkloof team! 

They did absolutely great!!  The group won and received the following:

• 2 gold medals
• 3 silver medals
• 4 bronze medals
• 8 trophees

They came 2nd overall ... there were 39 High schools who competed in these Nationals.  To top it all Zani and her trainer, Cornel, were featured on the SABC News and one of the local radio stations had an interview with the 2 of them as well. On the 1st photo Zani is 2nd from left.  Photo nr 2 is the Small Drill group who came 2nd (Zani is sitting in front on the right) and photo nr 3 is the Large Drill group who also came 2nd.  The girls wearing the green and navy blazers have all received their Provincial and National colours. 

I have to take my hat off to Zani ... she had to cope with a very tight schedule prior to the nationals.  She wrote exams, had to attend winter school, had to finish her art project (which takes a lot of time) and had to attend a lot of drummie practices.  We love her lots and lots and we will surely miss all these exciting times we had with her drummie life of the past 10 years!
